Fiona & Jamie | St. Andrews Wedding
St. Salvadors Chapel, Royal & Ancient Golf Club, Rusacks Hotel, St. Andrews
Fiona & Jamie had the perfect day for their wedding in St. Andrews in March. With the town meaning a little bit to both of them with Fiona having gone to St. Andrews University and Jamie working in the area it was only right that they tied the knot there as well. The morning started off misty and sunny giving off an incredible atmosphere for what was to be a glorious day. Fiona was getting ready at Kinnettles Hotel with both mum’s whilst dad popped in and out, whilst Jamie was doing some last minute arrangements for the ceremony. Fiona & her dad walked to the chapel which was lovely as not very often this happens but St. Andrews isn’t a large town so it seemed appropriate to get the steps in. Jamie at the alter and everyone rises as Fiona makes her entrance down the stunning aisle of St. Salvadors, everyones faces lighting up and the sight of the bride and groom.
I would like to give Rev. Walker a little mention, after a few discussions it was made clear that after the bride had come down the aisle I was to vacate the front and head to the back. However, I was asked to go to the front for the exchanging of the rings which I thought was a nice touch and a very unexpected one at that, so I am very appreciative for this gesture. After the ceremony they had a guard of honour with a few of Jamies old colleagues before a few photos and everyone headed down the road on foot towards Forgan House, which overlooks the 18th green of the Old Course for some drinks, a few speeches and of course dinner which was put on by the staff of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club. We popped out for a few quick photos down by the iconic Swilken Bridge before heading back for a few more drinks before making their way for the final stop of the day, Rusacks Rooftop Bar. The couple cut their cake before it was served with teas and coffees and the bar was open. Fiona & Jamie made a quick speech before taking their leave to go off on their mini-moon.
