Couples Session | Elie Beach | Fife
Nicola & Alastair are no strangers being in front of the camera so this was literally a walk in the park for them. They were to be married at Dalhousie Castle so they opted for a more relaxed location for their pre-wedding session, so Elie it was. It had been a while since I had been here so it was nice to be back. We took our time walking from the car park towards the beach before turning back for a walk around the lighthouse. I would highly reccomend a visit here, it is such a lovely place.
Glencoe Elopement | Scottish Highlands
Joanne & Ryan had a wander around a few spots in and around Glencoe on a rare day of sunshine. Although a touch blustery, they were both troopers and took it all in their strides. they both got ready at the Ballahulish Hotel before setting off. Of course we stopped for a late lunch at the famous Boots Bar for some pub grub, which was amazing as always. I partnered up with Joe Hall Weddings on this one, he was shooting 35mm film and I was doing digital and video. This was a full day and although it did not feel like it, everyone left with huge smiles on faces… Myself included.
Amy & Sandy | Pre-Wedding Session | Isle of Skye
The allure of Skye always gets me and no matter how many times I visit, in a way I am very jealous of the locals that call this place home and for these guys that springs true. Amy & Sandy have that very connection to the island as that is where Sandy is from and only left a few years ago so it was very meaningful for him to spend some time here and use this opportunity as the location for their pre-wedding session. As we made our way from place to place he reminisced of stories from his youth and where the local meeting points were and then would say he had walked a certain road to get home after having a few too many beers.
Giulia & Luis | Dumfries House Wedding | Ayrshire
Giulia & Luis celebrated their wedding with those who had travelled from across the globe, as far as Buenos Aires to Glasgow. They have both been on an incredible journey and I was grateful enough to hear their story and be a part of their day. Giulia got ready with her best friend, even helping with her make-up before exchanging gifts whilst Luis got ready before his mother arrived to help him with his final details which was an incredibly beautiful touch.
Fiona & Jamie | St. Andrews Wedding
The morning started off misty and sunny giving off an incredible atmosphere for what was to be a glorious day. Fiona was getting ready at Kinnettles Hotel with both mum’s whilst dad popped in and out, whilst Jamie was doing some last minute arrangements for the ceremony. Fiona & her dad walked to the chapel which was lovely as not very often this happens but St. Andrews isn’t a large town so it seemed appropriate to get the steps in. Jamie at the alter and everyone rises as Fiona makes her entrance down the stunning aisle of St. Salvadors, everyones faces lighting up and the sight of the bride and groom.
Hannah & Andrew | Pre-Wedding Session | Luss
Hannah and Andrew chose to have their pre-wedding session in Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond and although it was a fairly bleak afternoon it didn’t spoil anything even a little bit! They got engaged in the area and are getting married here as also, so it only seemed right that they got some photos here as well.
Suzie & Ben |Pratis Barns Wedding | Fife
The girls were busy at work being taken care of by the lovely Klaudi & Claire whilst Lousie from Pratis Barns was being her cheery self and making sure everyone was ok and happy. Meanwhile myself and Rebecca from R.S.V.P were floating around doing our thing. The stage was then set as Ben and the boys arrived and from what I could gather, they also had a fairly chilled morning after a very early morning run which they did invite me on but I kindly declined. Guests started to arrive and started to take their seats and then the bridal party were given the all clear to make their way from Pratis House round to the Barn.
5 Reasons To Consider A Pre-Wedding Shoot
A pre-wedding shoot can help you get comfortable in front of the camera, which will come in handy on your wedding day! It also provides a great way for your Photographer to get used to working with both of you before the big day arrives. Not only does this mean more time spent getting photos captured but it also means you’ll be more familiar with how both parties interact with each other which makes capturing those special moments even easier!
Cornhill Castle Wedding, Biggar
Cornhill Castle just outside of Biggar was host to the wedding of Rachael & Daniel and it was a place that I had been looking forward to shooting for a while. Rachael along with her mum and bridesmaids all got ready in the balmoral room which was grand in itself with incredible windows and plenty of space to entertain the little ones.
Oxenfoord Castle Wedding, Midlothian
Anna & James celebrated in style with their luxury wedding at Oxenfoord Castle. With morning preparations here it was the perfect setting to get ready for the big day. They chose to get married at their own church, Carrubbers situated on the Royal Mile. The groom and his best men arrived to greet guests from far and wide and whilst he was taking position at the alter, Anna arrived in a beautiful vintage white wedding car and for a few moments brought the entirety of the high street to a standstill with onlookers stopping for a glimpse at the bride and her entourage.
Highland Proposal, Glencoe
Mairéad & Jordan got engaged in the Scottish Highlands in Glencoe, more specifically the most famous little white cottage around and it was perfect! There were gaps of sun, cloud and even rain… What a shock, but it made for some atmospheric conditions.
The Proposal - Wild Kabn Kitchen, Argyll
Capturing special moments is what it is all about and this was one of them. When Danial reached out to plan his proposal to his partner Ellie I was instantly keen for it! We had emailed back and forth and nailed down some fine details regarding the where, when and how. The how being that the reason I was there was that it was in fact a birthday surprise for Ellie so that they would have some nice photographs together.
Hodsock Priory Wedding, Nottinghamshire
Hodsock Priory was the location chosen by Eleanor & Shrey to get married in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. This was my first time photographing one of my own weddings in England I was very excited for it. I have to say it was everything I expected and more. A sole use venue, the couple along with their family & friends had the entire place to themselves and we took full advantage of it.
Tyninghame Beach, Couple Session
Tyninghame Beach is hands down one of my favourites, it just has everything you could want. Incredible sand dunes, woodlands and more shoreline than you could need so lets just say I was more than happy to meet Anna & James here for their pre-wedding shoot! We had hoped for some golden hour light but it did not quite happen that way but we had so much fun playing around and getting more photos than I imagined.
Boturich Castle Wedding, Loch Lomond
St. Ninians Church was where Stephanie & Santino were set to marry and what a day they picked for it. Stephanie was getting ready at the Hilton with her bridesmaids, Mum & daughter whilst Santino was getting ready at his parents house with the guys. St. Ninians was very impressive and beautiful inside, a grand aisle leading to a gloriously spacious alter.
Loch Lomond Couple Session
A lovely evening walk around the fringe of Loch Lomond with Giulia & Luis for their pre-wedding session. We had arranged to meet in the early evening as they preferred to have a chance of some soft light and planned to sit by the shore and make a fire, something they normally do from time to time.
The Rhynd Wedding, St. Andrews
The Rhynd was the setting for Yoxin & Kyle to celebrate in style with their family & friends from far and wide. Both getting ready on site in the cottage but somehow managing to stay apart was quite impressive. Yoxin boasting the larger suite with the girls to get ready whilst Kyle had the run of the house with the boys.
Marshall Meadows Manor Wedding

Alexandra, the girls along with Mums’s and Gran all got ready together in the bridal suite and Matthew got ready with his groomsmen in the cottages to the rear of the main building.
