Amy & Sandy | Pre-Wedding Session | Isle of Skye
Isle of Skye, Scotland, Couple Session
The allure of Skye always gets me and no matter how many times I visit, in a way I am very jealous of the locals that call this place home and for these guys that springs true. Amy & Sandy have that very connection to the island as that is where Sandy is from and only left a few years ago so it was very meaningful for him to spend some time here and use this opportunity as the location for their pre-wedding session. As we made our way from place to place he reminisced of stories from his youth and where the local meeting points were and then would say he had walked a certain road to get home after having a few too many beers. Totally normal for him but this absolutely blew my mind.
We started off at Sligachan and got everyone comfortable before Amy & Sandy decided to skip stones in the river. Note to anyone that does this with Amy, her aim is atrocious so stand well clear. We then made our way to Coral Beach which I had bee looking forward to as this was a place I hadn’t been before. A lovely walk in and a good chin-wag before coming to the beach and I can honestly say it looks like a normal beach until you get down. The entire beach is made up of a crushed, sun-bleached algae giving the appearance of coral particles. We got some really nice light here before heading off in a little rain shower. Neist Point was the next and final destination as the sun was setting and also the fact that on one of Amy’s first visits to Sandy’s home patch, they went fishing down by the lighthouse so it was a nice moment. We wandered up the cliffs for that famous view before the sun had gone and they ended with a little cuddle.
Roll on the wedding!
