Hodsock Priory Wedding, Nottinghamshire

Nottinghamshire, England, Wedding

Hodsock Priory was the location chosen by Eleanor & Shrey to get married in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside. This was my first time photographing one of my own weddings in England I was very excited for it. I have to say it was everything I expected and more. A sole use venue, the couple along with their family & friends had the entire place to themselves and we took full advantage of it. Eleanor got ready in the main building in the bridal suite which was very spacious and had a large beautiful window which was perfect for me! Whilst Shrey and the boys got ready in what was called the clubhouse to the rear of the main building and sat in its own little courtyard.

The ceremony was very intimate and personal with not a dry eye is sight. As Eleanor entered with her dad, Shrey’s reaction to seeing her was one of the loveliest Ive seen and he held it together very well. As they were officially announced as husband and wife, they let out a huge cheer and the room erupted! They had so much time to mingle and have a few drinks before sneaking away for some photos alone and then making it back for speeches. The rain then started quite heavily but after it stopped they opted for some more photos and off we went.

The reception began and evening guests started to arive and the couple had their first dance together before the party really started!
